Fat Buu fought evenly with Goku, and neither of them were going all-out, not just Goku. Goku may have been stronger, but nowhere near multiple-times, which is what Super Saiyan 3 is beyond Super Saiyan 2. Super Saiyan 2 Majin Vegeta went full-on, and got destroyed by Buu. And he's twice as powerful as Super Saiyan 2 Gohan.
And Broly didn't have all that great an advantage over Super Saiyan Gohan, who is only a fraction of the power of Super Saiyan 2 Gohan. So, he's not close to any Super Saiyan 2 in power.
And even if he
were as strong as Super Saiyan 2 Gohan, he'd still only be half the strength of Majin Vegeta, who got owned. So I don't see how any Broly vs. Buu confrontation would be "a good fight". It would be a slaughter.
