Re: The Sky is Burning
Leaning against a nearby wall, one that had been left undamaged during the rain of explosions, Katsuo watched the battle from a far. Originally he had planned on joining in on the skirmish but from the looks of it, things weren't going to turn out well, not for Earth anyways.
"Earth's heroes? What a joke," Katsuo mumbled out loud while looking impassively at a wandering survivor trying to escape the confines of the newly made arena. Usually, he wouldn't think anything of the situation but after seeing these so called heroes fight, a bad taste was left in his mouth. You couldn't simply fight someone with three to four times as much power as you with punches, kicks, and energy blasts. Katsuo could predict from both his scouter and the amused faces of the saiyans, Earth's doom was imminent. That is unless one of those above him actually had a plan on how to defeat these guys.
A sudden creaking sound became apparent as Katsuo's eyes scanned the surrounding area. Nearby, an old car that had been toppled on to its side during the explosion was about to collapse on what looked to be the same survivor he had seen earlier. With a rush of speed, Katsuo caught the car a mere second before it landed on its victim. Pushing the car in the other direction, Katsuo looked at the wounded man only briefly before turning and walking back to where he had once been.
"Thanks," the man muttered in gratitude. Katsuo continued walking, waving back at the man for the acknowledgment. While he wasn't a hero, Katsuo felt he needed to take care of what only he could be responsible for, in this case the man's life. Had someone else been around, he could've ignored the man's life and continued knowing he wasn't the only one to have ignored it. However, being the only one around, he felt it would've been entirely his fault had the man died, a failure he could not accept.
Katsuo looked once more at the skirmish before deciding it was finally time to enter the fray, not to fight but simply to hear the saiyan's intentions. In addition, he'd try to convince a few of the fighters that their current tactics were useless, both for the planet's safety and to rid himself of the annoyance. He only hoped he could come up with a plan before they, and the planet along with them, were dead.
