King Kong is like 30 feet tall. Gojira is like 100 meters (in the first film; subsequent films give him 300 feet flat, or 30 stories). So try 10x.
And no, King Kong fails. The Peter Jackson version is the only thing that makes King Kong a respectable monster.
Gojira is better both in his style, as well as the message of anti-nuke shit he is associated with.
'K gaiz, so liek, favorite Gojira movie?
For me:
Favorites- Godzilla vs. Destoroyah- Epic movie, containing the epic demise of Heisei Gojira. Nice connection back to the Oxygen Destroyer from the original movie.
- Godzilla X Mechagodzilla- Again, nice tie-in to the original movie. I also like how in the Millennium series they made Gojira more of an evil entity bent on destruction rather than a defender of Earth/anti-hero. It stays truer to Gojira's original purpose and his nature in the original movie. Kiryu was also an interesting take on Mechagodzilla, and should've been explored further.
- Tokyo S.O.S.- Same as above.
Least-Favorites- Godzilla vs. Ebirah- Gay.
- Godzilla vs. Hedorah- Uber gay.
- Son of Godzilla- 100-man-orgy-on-a-day-of-silence gay.
Mixed Feelings- Godzilla, Mothra, and King Ghidorah: Giant Monsters All-Out Attack- Really nice affects, but it got extremely gay with all the flashy moves and the King Ghidorah zenkais.
- Godzilla: Final Wars- The best affects and fight scenes of any Gojira films to date. Sadly, it involved too much of a shitty story with characters that were completely uninteresting, who also drew heavy connotations of modern Japanese anime in the way they...fought...and looked. Gayer than transvestite Sentai.
Favorite Monsters- Gojira :D
- King Ghidorah
- Destoroyah
- Kiryu
- Monster X
