"There is a way to restore the light in a blinded Sharingan, according to Madara. By claiming the eyes of his brother, Madara revived his eyesight and made his power permanent. Itachi attempted to do the same, but failed. However, Sasuke is still alive. Aid me in defeating Itachi, and I will let you claim Itachi's body. Use that body to acquire Sasuke's eyes, and you will accomplish what you desire."

"In return..."

Since I lost one of my bodies recently" he cast a sidelong glance at Jiraya, which held neither anger nor contempt though "I've found myself looking for a replacement." Like Orochimaru, Pein avoided revealing his weakness, which was his inability to transfer all of his bodies through the Mangekyou-wrought portal in this dimension.

Then again, there could be much more that Pein was avoiding to reveal.
