Well, there's obviously no "correct" answer. It depends on what kind of story you are writing and, perhaps most importantly, what kind of writer you are. You may want to write big, full-fledged chapters, each of which fulfills a satisfying part in the storyline, or separate your work into multiple smaller ones which suit a more fast-paced style.

But if you want a general guideline... well, for a low- or high-fantasy story like the ones I usually write, 3,000 words per chapter is a decent size in my view. Don't know how many pages on paper that is, since I always type on Word.
