One of the motivations behind the recent
image gallery software update was to improve both the performance and the reliability of the gallery.
As a trial, on Friday evening Apr 11 (US time), we moved the
MFG Forum from its own dedicated machine onto the same server that's used by the image gallery's database. The idea was that everything might run just as fast (or even faster for the forum), while reducing our monthly hosting costs.
What I'd like to know at this point is whether MFG, and the gallery in particular, has been feeling noticeably slower over the last few days or not. Please post a comment and let me know.
