Brother, similar lives is equalivalent to similar minds and similar bodies.
If they had similar minds and bodies that would pretty much give them similar potential.
I mean, the genetic defect sitting in a wheelchair looking ugly has less potential than the intellectual athlete. If I said, think of a person similar to the latter one. Then you would use the intellectual and athletic aspects as the base.
You need to be quite close to have been able to have same lives in the first place. And to strengthen it a bit, he didn't say similar ot quite similar.
He said "Remarkable like theirs".
x * y = z -- where x = genetic potential, y = natural enviorment, z = individuality.
But if you read the entire post you wouldn't have missed this part.
