Can't argue with the stoppage. Joe had ample time to get out of that position and he couldn't do it. As for the elbows, I don't mind them if they are thrown with the intention of doing damage. Florian throws them to merely cut his opponents. The difference really is that a "damaging" elbow is thrown with tremendous arc and downward momentum. Florian throws short elbows with the "slicing" like arc designed to cut his opponents.

Watch David "The Crow" Louisau (butchered his last name I'm sure) throw elbows in his prime. Now that is the way to throw an elbow...they knocked Tanner completely senseless in their fight.

Also, I agree with Huerta beating Florian. I think Huerta can keep it standing and blast out a win. Florian is pretty good in top position so hopefully Huerta doesn't end up on his back. Although, Crane had much better pure grappling credentials than Kenny and Huerta managed to grapple with him okay.

And yeah, that was a sweet armbar. I downloaded all the fights unaired on the internet. In my opinion, the best two parts of the entire broadcast weren't shown: the fantastic armbar by Marcus shown above, and the absolute decimation of Tommy Speer. He was huddled unconcious against the fence for a good while.

Now I suppose we gotta wait for UFC 83 in Montreal. All I can say is that if anyone wants to bet on Serra I'm down for an AV and sig bet as long as I get GSP
