Default Re: Reproda Lucidus [Intelligent Replies Only.]

Read it again. You read it wrong. I also believe you don't know what capitalism is. Capitalism is basically a free market. The government grants businessmen authority to control and run a monopoly of an inudstry. This is opposed to Communism in which the government runs every industry and only a handful of citizens are in power. In the case of Reproda Lucidus, it became as a society in which the central government was in complete control. I wouldn't call Reproda a communist society, rather a dictatorship in which a militaristic government which is in complete control of virtually everything. However, with a financial crisis, Reproda is forced to auction off branches of its system, gradually selling industry upon industry to freeholders. Effectively, it brings in funds to hopefully lighten the fall. However, Reproda lost the key factor which makes a communist state more efficient than a capitalist one. Communists own all industries. Therefore, a communist government can produce firearms, build fortresses, etc, without being hindered by dealing with businessmen of the respective industries. Instead, they order the works to build, the workers build, and the works get paid directly by the government. Think about it. I wouldn't say capitalism took over. Instead, you could call it a changed that was brought upon. If you follow anything I previously mentioned, the rise of capitalism creates a division amongst Reproda in a time where tensions are high.

[For the record, when I originally wrote this post, it was triple the length it is now. Lucky for you, my computer died.]
