Re: Semi-Finals: Joker [Pyro Bastard] vs. Auron [Null]
Joker stared up in awe as Auron created the tornado. Not once had he seen such a feat. Controlling the wind was no surprise, but to call down a tornado was a surprise for him. However, even with the raging tornado, the blonde fighter already knew a counter maneuver to not get too hurt by it. That was until fire was added.
“Shit, that didn’t help any.” The male muttered to himself as he backed up until his foot touched the edge of the arena. That was when an idea popped up causing a grin to once again spread across the male’s face.
The tornado itself had caused many of spectators to slowly back away from the walls out of pure fear. Even those that saw Auron fight hadn’t seen such a ferocious attack nor had they seen fire added to it. Tiles along the floor were either destroyed or sucked up into the wind. The arena maintenance contemplated letting go of their pole just so they wouldn’t have to rebuild the place once again.
Finally, the deadly winds died down and people started to gather back along the walls. However, those that came quickly soon found their throats dry and in dire need of water and breath. The large tornado had sucked all the oxygen from around the stadium causing the air to lay heavily on anyone who was unprepared which just so happened to be most of the crowd members.
For those that could keep themselves from suffocating saw that almost the entire ring had been destroyed and burned. The only exception was the small area where the samurai stood. Another thing that others had seen which would have caused gasps if there was any air for it to be allowed was that Auron was now the only person on the arena. His opponent was no where to be seen causing some to wonder if he had been burned to ashes. After seeing this, silence soon took hold of the crowd. Not even a murmur was heard, either due to the apparent death or little oxygen to use up.
Minutes passed while the announcer diligently cleaned off his glasses while the other members consoled each other due to the soon to be reconstruction of the arena. However, once the blacked suited male finally looked though his glasses again, he found something quite surprising causing the man to take off his newly cleaned glasses to make sure he wasn’t seeing anything.
Sure enough, his eyes weren’t deceiving him. In front of him was Joker, though not standing up. Instead, the blonde fighter was right on the edge of the wall, his back only inches from touching the ground. Due to the trident wielder being on the entrance side of the stadium, he was un able to be seen by the spectators on any other the others sides as well as Auron.
“Well that was a bit too close.” The warrior said, his voice breaking the silence and causing crowd members to look at the stadium wondering how the idiot fighter had lived. Only then did they see the male lift himself up from the edge of the wall. Many were about to call out for disqualification, but since the announcer was taking no action, they knew Joker must not have touched ground.
“Had I not had this toy of mine, I would’ve fallen out of the ring. Guess I got lucky eh?” The blonde man asked with a smirk knowing full well no luck was involved. Instead, the clan had been carefully created a plan to keep him out of harms way while not leaving the ring. That method was done by falling backwards and sending the single spike of the hidden trident into the arena floor. At the same time, Joker constantly altered his weight in order to keep him over the grass yet not get sucked up by the winds.
To add even more to the calmed attitude was that the lucky fighter took no defensive stance. Just as before, the male waited for an attack, his thinking that the best offense was a good defense and so far, it had worked out quite well for him.
