Beautiful Illusion

She was surprised it had come to this - the outcome of her previous match had been quite the unexpected development. Lust knew well she had been lucky to make it this far; she had not counted upon the kind of compeition she had already faced ... in particular, not such an explosive first match. She would have been able to weild her body as a weapon much more effectively in her second. This time around, she knew not what to expect - she had heard that other females would be participating ... she had yet to encounter one as her opponent. It would be something of an insult to the gender she was somewhat classed as - in spite of the fact that she was no longer technically a human - if she was the only female to qualify.

"Once again, I am left in suspense ... " Lust murmured to herself, this time taking on a different stance; she shook back her sheet of midnight hair, shining a little under the light of the sun, with her hip cocked to the side, hand resting upon it. it was the kind of pose that connoted a, perhaps, halcyon attitude ... this could not be further from the truth. Within, the female felt something of a burning ... and this was nothing more than her desire to qualify, to achieve her goal. It was amazing, the things she was willing to put herself through in order to obtain the one thing she still dreamed of; to become human again would force the memories that plagued her out. The prospect of her old life was too much to give up now.

The female took a few steps forward, almost in the center of the ring; her body turned, still barely changing its original stance, and for the first time for the entire duration of the match, the female faced the audience. Nobody of familiarity opposed her. She never had expected them to ... but the life presented in the faces of the crowds ... the excitement, and emotion, gave her longing new depths. Her emotional repertoire was severely limited in comparison: but no matter. That was all about to change ...
