Well, why would Shin Buu worry since in less than an hour, the fusion will be over. It's not like he could have taken out SSJ3 Gotenks who was kicking the crap out of him. Buu doesn't like to get hurt and he is really impatient, Gotenks was beating him and Buu was serious, he wasn't toying with Gotenks. If he was toying it would have been obvious, but he was struggling. Gotenks on the other hand wasn't using his full power, he fought Buu once, the second time he said he could have beaten him easily, obviously, he said that because now he knew perfectly what Shin Buu was capable of and that, if he went down to business right from the start, Shin Buu wouldn't stand a chance. At first, Goten said that Chou Gohan was as strong as Super Gotenks but Trunks corrected him and said: He is even stronger. It means they could somewhat beat Shin Buu, not as easily as Gohan did but they could still beat him, why would have they stated that, Gohan was raping Shin Buu, it's safe to assume that Gotenks would have at least beat him since Gotenks thought Gohan was as strong as Gotenks.
