As for the Burdock matter. Although I disagree with those who are of the opinion that he had flown to some part of the higher atmosphere, or that Planet Vegeta necessarily had a higher atmosphere (due to it being larger than Earth, thus more of a gravitational pull or just due to having more gravitational pull without needing to be larger), to say that they're flat-out wrong would be incorrect. I believe the whole flashback is just that - a flashback. Not seeing the full story, just Freeza's recollection of seeing Burdock. We know that he rebelled against Freeza, that's why Freeza could identify his face so easily, but to say that the entire panel is "how it actually looked". I have my doubts.
As you can see, the whole panel is rather zoomed in on Burdock, he wasn't necessarily that close to Freeza. In a shell, all the images in the panel don't necessarily have to be linked together. They're just in Freeza's memory of that last moments of Vegeta.
