I thought I'd let it be known that I had trouble getting my password changed too. It seems the emailing way is a little glitchy right now. I got mine changed by asking Minion (now Island of 1,000 Condiments) to PM Sharky and asking him to change it for me. I then had to change Dino's for him because the email wouldn't send to him either. So because of this I'm willing to change your password for you if you email me at:

Please include your name and what you wish your password to be set as. I'd suggest something easy like one23 or abc123, then when you sign on, you can change it to whatever you'd like.

I checked in the Admin Control Panel and it shows that there is a Cherry account, but it only has 2 posts. So I'm wondering if you want the accounts merged or not because it isn't really clear to me from your post.
