Yeah, but that's the thing. They may be easier, but they are also, as you said, very restrictive in terms of what you can do, unless you want to completely butcher the plot.

That's why original is best. It takes lots of thinking and effort, as well as every last ounce of creativity to draw out a good original, but it's definitely more than worth it. Also, "fan" fictions like DBZ stories are now over-used and cleche. I mean, for Christ's sake, some are good, but others are just lame. Many writers of DBZ fics also have no idea how to make them act, and have Goku stroll in on the first chapter and say "YO NIGGAZ WAZZUP?!?!?!". Many DBZ fics place the characters......out of character. That's why original is best, because you can have them act any way you damn well feel like. Also, I'm tired of seeing DBZ fics.......there's too damn many.............
