in character. I even have that with my OC's in my Fanfics some times. The reason being, I usually don't pound them out enough, so I don't have a solid feel of how they act. It's one reason I like Fanfiction so much. I
know those characters, inside and out. Especially DBZ. I know how they'd handle a situation because I have all that background on them. But, I'm working on getting better at that. Need to, if I want to be a writer and ever get published.

Woo! I've done incredible! hehe. Twists are one of my favorite things to pull in fics. And expect to see MANY of them in the last few Sagas of AH... (Assuming I ever finish Saga 5. Right now my main focus is on NaNoWriMo.) And if you want to see something original from me I do have a few original short stories done...

I like Fanfictions since they give me established material to work with, it makes it a bit easier. Yet at the same time the world is already established so that restricts you a bit. It makes for really good writing practice and exercise though. My ablity at writing combat scenes has improved vastly since I started writing my Fanfictions. And my description is slowly improving as well.
I have yet to finish an original novel on the computer, at least. I did write one YEARS ago, like, when I was 12. 152 pages. Sci-Fi. Decent, but not that great. All with pen and paper. x_x Lost it long ago... sadly.
Anyway, if you're interested in original writing you might be interested in the insanity of NaNoWriMo if you've not already heard of it. It's the National Novel Writing Month. Takes place over the month of November. The goal is to write an ENTIRE story in 1 month, 50k+ words.
Check it out. You might be interested. The rule is, you can do pre-writing, but can't start the novel until 12:01 on November first. While it makes for an insane month it's a blast.
