But what about the heritage issue? I don't think anyone is considering this.
Apparently people have forgotten that Bebi Vegeta was in full control of the his Golden Oozaru, and yet, did not ascend. And it's theorized by Bulma (in the Japanese GT) that only pure Saiyans are able to become Super Saiyan 4, explaining why Vegeta couldn't ascend with Bebi in his body. Bebi himself wasn't Saiyan, which as a result made Vegeta's heritage impure. But even though Bebi Vegeta couldn't reach Super Saiyan 4, he however was able to surpass Goku who was at Super Saiyan 4.
If Bebi Vegeta couldn't do it because of the impure heritage, why should half Saiyans be able to?
