Cableguy, I actually used to use the 1/5th arguement but everyone told me it was a bad translation. Mangafox stated the same thing and that's the one I had been reading.
You missed the entire point of my post: Sensui,

or >50% depending on translation), is weaker than the combined effort of Hiei and Kurama with restored A-class power. Again, Sensui
AT 1/5 is weaker than the two of them with A-class power.

No, Hiei had a devious scheme to try and reawaken his A-class power. That's why, when Itsuki saw through it, he said "darn, you're pretty good". He wouldn't/didn't need to train; the two of them AUTOMATICALLY became restored as A-class.
You're ignoring the fact Sensui CAN'T power up more than 1/5th...that's why Itsuki was worried because they
didn't want to destroy the Earth and couldn't handle the two of them while toned down so much. That's why Itsuki freaked-out. If Sensui could honestly handle them, even at 1/5th of his power, why worry...? And Sensui was apparently worried too because...well, he took his advice. And later he powers
up in Makai so it's pretty much a fact he can't handle them suppressed.
Lastly, Hiei stated that he "
wanted to die fighting" (with Yusuke). He and Kurama would take the opportunity to take down Sensui when he had his aura suppressed that low. This totally contradicts the notion of them running away, training, and then coming back to take him down.
They were going to die trying and knew Yusuke was at the end of his rope.
