I not sure about "we try to give it a more gritty and graphic (realistic) feeling."
If you want to make a movie about DB you need to use the "trademarks" of DB, imagine the next Harry Porter movie been played by Bruce Willis and lord voldemort by Brad Pitt, i'm guessing that Harry Porter fans wouldn't be happy.
