The thing is that there's not enough serious discussion/debate topics to merit an individual section. There's maybe...5-15 a month, if I'm thinking correctly, and generally only 1-4 of those last for even a week. There's 22 of you that have voted for the debate section, but I doubt that more than ten of you even participate in the discussions now. Unless there's a huge surge of successful debate/serious discussion topics (I'm not talking about news/vent threads, I'm talking about the actual debates), the Lounge is sufficient. Even in the event of a steady line of successful debate topics, the Lounge is still sufficient, but at least then you'll have a valid reason for a debate section.
