And even if you say "Force doesn't matter" which it doesn't, I agree, wouldn't the minerals in the Planet evaporating and expanding outwards and being broken down cause radiation?
And if you somehow manage to pull a stupid comment to somehow disprove that theory, wouldn't the air or oxygen on the planet being broken down into different molecules and isotopes cause radiation? For example if air has this chemical composition..
Chemical
The Primary Atmospheric Industrial Gases Products: Nitrogen, Oxygen and Argon
Useful "Rare Gases" Found in Low Concentrations: Neon, Krypton and Xenon
Carbon Dioxide in Air: Current CO2 Concentration, Historical CO2 Levels, Rate of Change
Carbon dioxide can be broken down into different molecules such as Carbon-14 which is a radioactive isotope used to date fossils. However, if a large explosion happened these molecules would be formed which would cause a large amount of radiation, enough to Kill.
Now prove to me how Freiza didn't die from the radiation on the planet...

I don't have workable knowledge of chemical reactions in such detail, so I shan't answer scientifically, because I can't. However, if Freeza can survive in space, and survive being vivisected, and have a nigh-indestructible core, it is a possibility that radiation and illness cannot affect him either. Basically, I wouldn't bet on radiation affecting Freeza or Cell, given their different biologies and capacities, but since we see that Goku can get sick and for the most part is similar to a human (can breed with them) I find it reasonable to assume he can suffer radiation poisoning.
