Everything you said is valid. But I think there's absolutely no excuse for assuming the saiyans in that movie were FPSSJ/USSJ. But if for some reason people choose to be ignorant and ignore that notion, there's always the fact that you presented here.

Broly was beaten by a powered-up Goku, but the power Goku received from his comrade's current states was easily determinable as insufficient for granting Goku as much power as he was shown to have when he defeated Broly. It's simply impossible, and it's obvious that whoever wrote the script for the Movie just wasn't thinking. There's actually quite a lot of "excuses" to support Goku and Gohan as MSSjs in Movie 8. I won't bother typing up a stom though, so you'll have to visit the "Commentary on Broly" thread. Not to sound as if I know everything on Broly, but that is where I explain just about all the reasons why I think they were MSSjs in Movie 8.
