3. It was the opposite in fact, it seems they thought the two fighters had to be SSJ or they couldn't go higher when fused. It doesn't matter in both case, if they fuse in base form, they can go SSJ after the fusion, it applies for the potaras and the dance.

4. Janemba is from a movie, therefore he isn't canon and just like SSJ4 Goku is irrelevant to this topic. Janemba is probably weaker than all the forms of ''Super Buu'' so it proves nothing since Vegeto easily beat someone much stronger than Janemba.

5. Again, GT,SSJ4 can't be used in a canon discussion. Nothing suggests SSJ4 Vegeto couldn't have done the same, and if you look at it that way, SSJ3 Vegeto should have been more than enough to take out Yi Xing Long(Omega Shenron)

It seems you have a severe lack of informations, anyways, we are there to provide you with some.

You can try and make a case as to why Vegeto would be much stronger than Gogeta, but you simply can't say Gogeta is stronger than Vegeto as there is not a single statement that implies the dance is better than the earrings, in fact, it's the opposite. At best, and I mean, if you're a biased Gogeta fan boy, Gogeta is on par with Vegeto, and at the very worst, Vegeto dominates him baddly.
